A Season of Letting Go

an online ceremony to release what no longer fits

For the woman who has been holding it all together

Thursday, October 8, at 1:00 PM Eastern 10:00 AM Pacific, 6:00 PM UK on Zoom - by donation

Give what feels right. Everyone is welcome.

Donations of $50+ include a signed journal within Canada.

Maybe this is you

  • You're the one everyone leans on. You can't remember the last time you leaned back.
  • You're tired in a way sleep doesn't touch.
  • Something in your life no longer fits, and you've been quietly working around it.
  • You keep telling yourself you'll deal with it when things settle down. They never quite do.
  • You don't need another goal. You need to set something down.

You’ve been carrying a lot for a long time. Maybe you aren't meant to hold it all.

There is a season for letting go

The trees are beginning to let go.

Not because something has gone wrong. Not because they have failed to hold on. Simply because there are things they were never meant to carry forever.
Maybe we’re allowed to do the same.
Before the end of the year begins asking more of you, I want to give you an hour to ask a different question:
What am I ready to stop carrying?
You don't have to change your whole life.
You don't have to know what comes next.
You can simply begin by setting one thing down.

What we'll do together

We'll slow down together. There will be time to write, time to reflect, time to be quiet and time to connect.  You are welcome to share, if you'd like to, with your camera on or off.

  • Notice

We'll spend some time noticing what you've been carrying. The things that feel heavy. The things that no longer fit. The things you might be ready to put down.

  • Release

You'll choose one thing to let go of, and we'll move through a simple ritual together to release it.

  • Make Room

We'll stay in the space that remains and explore what it has made room for.

What if it feels heavy
because it’s asking us
to let go?

What to have beside you

Nothing fancy. Have these beside you before we begin, so once we start, you can just be there.

  • Three pieces of paperany paper you have
  • A pen
  • A bowl of water
  • A candlea flameless one works just as well
  • One quiet houryou're allowed to take it

Give what feels right

I've made this ceremony by donation because so often, the women who need it most are the ones who've put themselves last the longest. Give whatever feels right to you. There is no minimum. Everyone who registers is equally welcome in the room.

If you're in Canada and give $50 or more, I'd love to thank you with a signed copy of A Season of Letting Go, mailed to you in late October. International signed-copy options are available.

The book that inspired this gathering

A Season of Letting Go paperback journal

A Season of Letting Go began as something I needed to remember myself: we are allowed to put things down.

I created this journal for the seasons when something no longer fits, but we're not quite sure how to release it. It's a gentle place to notice what you've been carrying, let go of what you're ready to leave behind, and create more room for yourself again.
